YTACS Dallas is a network of motivated young professionals collectively working together to raise awareness and funds to support the local Dallas cancer community. The Dallas chapter of Young Texans Against Cancer was established in 2007, as part of a statewide organization, and in 2019 became an independent organization. In 2020, our group joined forces with the one of the largest cancer fighting organizations in the nation with more than 100 years of leadership and research in the field. Having served in Dallas as an young professionals nonprofit for over a decade, we merged with the American Cancer Society to grow and take our fight against cancer to the next level!
The American Cancer Society’s mission is to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer and as Dallas’ young professional’s arm, we’ll work towards that mission while having the most fun possible. Please join us as we #FightCancer together.
Who We Are
Young Texans of the American Cancer Society was established in 2001 by a group of young individuals in the Houston area. The Founding Members had something in common: Cancer. Some had personally battled cancer while others witnessed loved ones struggling with the illness. Inspired by these struggles, the Founding Members created YTACS to increase cancer awareness among their generation of young professionals. Since its inception, YTACS Dallas has raised over $1.8 million in support of the fight against cancer.
What We Do
It’s simple – we raise money, to give money. YTACS raises hundreds of thousands of dollars each year, with the single goal to give back to local beneficiaries. Our funds are raised through a variety of efforts including our signature events, membership activities, generous donors, and corporate sponsors.
